Owner Connie Karlowicz, a.k.a. Top Dog, leads a team of six Pack members.

I have 23 years of dog experience and I work closely with the Dogtropolis Manager, Maddie Werner, along with the rest of The Pack to maintain a safe and healthy environment for your best friend! As our clients know, I am on-site daily at the Dogtropolis dog daycare facility working with my staff. Each member of my staff works several shifts throughout a week, so we know you and your dog well and you will get to know us well too!

Connie’s love of dogs began when she was young girl, and her parents started adopting from shelters. Her mom adopted six rescue dogs over the years (all with unique personalities!) and was very involved in volunteer and fundraising work for dog rescue organziations later in her life. Connie started Dogtropolis in 2003 for her first Labs, Wally & Dexter, while working full time in the publishing field. Connie’s background before starting Dogtropolis was also in the marketing and printing fields. The Dogtropolis logo and graphics you see all come to life through her collaboration with the same graphic designer of 25 years. Connie’s other black Lab Boys over the years have included: Stanley (the Boss), Mark (the Naughty One), Joey (the Baby), Brian (the Needy One) and Gary (the Handsome Jock). Connie’s dogs attend Dogtropolis daily as well, and assist her in all day-to-day operations! In addition to her love of dogs, Connie enjoys traveling and hiking in Sedona, AZ. She has a love of photography, focusing on photos of the dogs, as well as desert landscapes in Arizona and spectacular Cleveland sunrises and sunsets.

MANAGER, MADDIE WERNER aka PACK LEADER

Maddie comes from a family of dog lovers, and with a background in Biology and Health Sciences she now devotes her life and career to taking care of other families’ dogs. As Top Dog Connie’s right hand, she has overseen all day-to-day business operations for the last twelve years, maintains the office and facility, and manages all the staff. Clients like to joke she is here so often she must live at DogT! Quality assurance is her top priority and she is known for clearly communicating with clients about their dogs and always giving them peace of mind. An avid camper, she enjoys traveling in Ohio and other states for backpacking trips with her two dogs, Carlos & Alberta.

STAFF MENTOR, KYLE ANDERSON

Kyle has been with DogT for seven years and has always been a client favorite! As Staff Mentor, he is in charge of training all new staff and overseeing all pack members, both on the playroom floor and in the kennel area. He assists in day-to-day operations and maintains the integrity and cleanliness of the entire facility. He impresses clients with his loving care of their dogs as well as his amazing feats of strength, always with a smile on his face. In his spare time, Kyle enjoys reading, attending local concerts and designing his own tattoos.

PACK GUIDE, JULIA SIMPSON

Julia has been with Dogtropolis for five years now. She can mostly be found out in the playroom/play yard with the dogs, hugging and loving on the all the doggo’s. Rest assured your dog is well taken care of by Julia, and some would say even pampered! In addition to her love of caring for dogs, Julia enjoys hiking in nature, attending Comic-Con and discovering new music.
